Take care of the widows and orphans… Christ asked us to reach out to each other, and to particularly look out for
widows and orphans. Red Hill UMC participates in several local and West Virginia
UMC Conference outreach programs.

- A special offering is taken once a month and groceries and other items
are collected all month for the benefit of a local mission program
called "Urban Ministries" directed by a UMC pastor, Lisa Taylor.
Members are encouraged to give time as a volunteer as well.
This ministry benefits individuals and families in the Urban Parish of Parkersburg
by providing emergency food, household and baby supplies.
- Members of Red Hill UMC visit the Worthington Manor Nursing Home on the last Monday of every month for singing and fellowship.
The members love to sing the old favorites and hear the Word of God as well as the fellowship
and time given to them by members of all ages in our group.
- Through apportionments, special offerings as well as emergency relief requests, Red Hill UMC
participates in the support of seven mission programs supported by the West Virginia UMC
Conference and helps meet emergency needs around the state and region as well as mission
efforts around the world.
- The church supports two missionary families The Terry Duncan's in Kenya/Africa and The Murphy's in Honduras.
- Special offerings are taken once a month for Praise FM Radio Broadcast ministries.
- On fifth Sundays, a special offering is taken for the additional support of the Red Hill UMC Youth Group.
- Red Hill encourages new members to consider initiating new ministries to benefit our community. Please come and put your talents to work in our fellowship.
